Yellowstone is an incredible place with an abundance of natural formations. In several places you can see deep blue pools of steamy water bursting forth to the surface. The steam smells like sulfur. When you look at the edges of the pool where the contents spill out over the side, you realize the warm, blue water is not what you think. Its actually full of all sorts of acidic minerals that quickly turn green, then yellow, then orange and eventually brown and white. What is this stuff!?
It is a great reminder of the temptations of the evil one. At first, they look fun, refreshing and therapeutic. Once you dive in, you realize you are not in a relaxing spa. You are in a boiling cauldron of deadly chemicals. You try on your own to get out, but its too late. You can’t escape on your own. There is no hope. You are trapped and will die. The acid will eat you away.
The only way out of sin is through Jesus, the Son of God, who took your sins upon himself when being nailed to a cross in a cruel form of Roman execution. Jesus paid the price for your escape from Hell. He then did something no other “holy man’ before or since has ever done. He rose from the dead!! HIs well-documented resurrection proves Jesus is exactly who He says He is. He is the living Savior of the World.
